About me
The idea of storytelling through costume design is something that has always inspired me, the way an audience can make an assumption on a character through their clothing before they even begin to perform particularly continues to influence my work. Design as a whole plays such an integral part to any story and creating cohesive designs to tie a performance together is something that I continue to strive for. I am passionate about working with children and young people and encouraging them to explore and create in innovative and new ways.
I have worked on several theatre productions designing both costumes and sets and have also designed for a festival in Brick Lane for the Shakespeare in Shoreditch festival. In 2016 I was lucky enough to win the Young Fashion Designer of the Year competition in the A2 category for my A-level fashion work and was then invited back as a judge for the 2017 YFD competition. I have recently completed a BA Hons in Costume Design and Making at Nottingham Trent University achieving a first class honors degree and developing skills in pattern drafting, distressing, costume construction, Photoshop and illustration. I am currently based in Kent and this site features a look into my portfolio, CV and creative processes.
